Middlesex Women enter the Vitality Blast Women’s League 2 fixture against Sussex Sharks Women as the stronger side, sitting second in the table with four wins from six matches and a strong net run rate. Sussex sit near the foot of the standings with just one victory in six outings, though they secured a narrow six-wicket win over Northamptonshire in their most recent outing. Middlesex, the defending League 2 champions, have shown consistent batting depth and bowling control across recent results, including a dominant win over Kent. The July 5 contest offers Sussex a chance to improve their record, but Middlesex’s superior form and points tally shape current trader expectations around the outcome.
