James Wade enters the 2026 New Zealand Darts Masters opener as the heavy favorite, with traders pricing his win probability at 90.5% based on his status as an eleven-time major winner and consistent 2026 results that include Players Championship titles plus deep runs at the UK Open and World Matchplay. The veteran maintains strong scoring averages and finishing under pressure in televised formats, while Kayden Milne, a New Zealand WDF-ranked player with regional titles but minimal PDC exposure, faces a steep step-up in class against established competition. The absence of head-to-head history and Milne’s limited experience at this level reinforce the mismatch, though any home-crowd factor or early-match variance could theoretically influence proceedings in a single-elimination format.
