Apple's September 9 announcement set the iPhone 18 Pro starting price at $1,199 for the 256GB model, a $100 increase over the iPhone 17 Pro despite earlier analyst forecasts of $150–$200 hikes tied to surging memory and storage costs. The A20 Pro chip, variable-aperture 48MP main camera, vapor chamber cooling, and expanded 2TB storage option reflect premium feature additions that support the modest premium while pre-orders open today ahead of the September 18 launch. Traders are watching how component inflation, competitive Android pricing, and any last-minute storage or regional adjustments could still influence final resolution criteria.
