Clear skies, light winds under a high-pressure ridge, and radiational cooling from a forecasted baseline near 72°F—aligning with late-April climatological norms of 71°F average lows—enabled this slight drop, tempered by urban heat island effects and dewpoints in the upper 60s preventing colder readings. While data is typically final, rare NWS revisions from the pending daily climatological report could theoretically challenge this positioning, though historical precedents show minimal changes for such settled observations.
