Los Angeles Mad Drops enter the June 18 MLP St. Petersburg matchup as slight favorites at 55% implied probability, driven by their dominant 2026 season form and superior roster depth. The team sits atop recent event standings after going undefeated to claim the MLP Dallas title, powered by Ben Johns’ elite mixed-doubles play alongside Jade Kawamoto and consistent contributions from Catherine Parenteau, Max Freeman, and Genie Bouchard. In contrast, Utah Black Diamonds carry a 4-8 record and just 10 points, reflecting inconsistent results despite occasional strong showings from Victoria Di Muzio and Connor Garnett. Head-to-head history and the league’s team format—emphasizing mixed doubles, men’s/women’s doubles, and DreamBreaker—favor LA’s higher DUPR-rated lineup and recent momentum, though the closely priced odds reflect pickleball’s inherent variability and potential for upsets in single events.
