Multiple strong contenders keep the São Paulo Senate race for second place tightly contested ahead of the October 2026 vote, as two seats are filled in a single round where voters select two names. Recent polls show ex-ministers Marina Silva and Simone Tebet holding narrow leads, with Guilherme Derrite close behind and names like Petter Maahs, André do Prado, and Ricardo Salles within striking distance. The fragmented field of over a dozen registered candidates, combined with shifting alliances and undecided voters, sustains the competitive positioning reflected in trader consensus. Upcoming polling releases, candidate conventions, and endorsements could consolidate support or widen gaps among the top group.
