Jannik Sinner enters the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters quarterfinals with a commanding 4-2 head-to-head edge over Felix Auger-Aliassime, having won their last four meetings across Cincinnati Masters, US Open, Paris Masters, and Nitto ATP Finals. Sinner advanced Thursday by battling past Tomas Machac 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-3 in a gritty three-setter, extending his strong clay-court form as a two-time Monte Carlo semifinalist. Auger-Aliassime progressed when Casper Ruud retired injured at 7-5, 2-2 after the Canadian's straight-sets win over Marin Cilic, riding a five-match winning streak and 17-6 record in 2026. No recent injury concerns for either, but the slower clay surface could test Sinner's baseline power against Auger's athleticism and improving topspin game, highlighting a competitive ATP Masters 1000 clash.
