Marin Cilic's recent Houston Open title on clay last week has propelled his 64.5% implied probability against Alexei Popyrin in the Miami Open second round, showcasing the veteran's resurgent form after a knee injury hiatus. The 35-year-old Croat, a two-time Miami semifinalist with a powerful serve thriving on hard courts, holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over the 24-year-old Australian from their 2021 clash. Popyrin enters off a straight-sets Indian Wells loss, struggling with break-point conversion against top servers, while Cilic's baseline depth and experience in high-stakes ATP Masters 1000 matches underpin trader consensus favoring the world No. 58 over No. 42 Popyrin.
