James Duckworth, ranked No. 86, rides momentum into the Mexico City Challenger clay-court final after a 7-6(7), 6-4 semifinal win over Tibo Colson, marking his second straight challenger final following straight-set victories over Stefan Kozlov and a three-set comeback against Beibit Zhukayev earlier this week. Stefano Napolitano, No. 302 and taller at 196cm, holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Duckworth from their 2019 hard-court clash but grinded through three sets versus Tristan Schoolkate in quarters. No injuries or withdrawals reported; high-altitude conditions at Centro Deportivo Chapultepec favor endurance and topspin-heavy baseline play on clay, with Duckworth's recent form contrasting Napolitano's underdog resurgence.
