In the ATP Challenger Santa Cruz de la Sierra quarterfinals on clay, third-seeded Peruvian Gonzalo Bueno (No. 187) faces Chilean Matias Soto (No. 304), with Soto holding a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their 2024 M25 Sao Paulo semifinal on clay. Both advanced convincingly in the round of 16: Bueno dispatched former top-50 Federico Coria 6-4, 6-1, showcasing strong baseline play and serving, while Soto dominated Guido Justo 6-2, 6-3 after recently capturing the Bucaramanga Challenger title for career momentum. Trader consensus reflects Bueno's higher ranking and seed advantage on home-continent clay, tempered by Soto's recent form, prior win, and rest from shorter matches; no reported injuries, with weather-neutral conditions in Bolivia favoring steady rallies.
