Uchijima enters fresh off early March wins over Anhelina Kalinina in the final and Ada Kumru, showing solid clay adaptation despite a career 7-8 WTA-level record on the surface. Lee (No. 169, 12-8 YTD) carries momentum from a straight-sets qualifier win over Mia Ristić yesterday and prior victories over Anna-Lena Friedsam and Aliona Bolsova, but her limited clay points (3% of total) and first-round draw position temper upset potential in their head-to-head debut. No injuries reported; weather could influence play.
