Incumbent Republican Claudia Tenney secured her party's nomination without opposition in the June 2026 primary, while Democrat Alissa Ellman emerged from a contested Democratic primary. NY-24, encompassing parts of central New York including Syracuse, maintains a consistent Republican tilt reflected in recent election results and nonpartisan ratings such as the Cook Political Report's Solid R designation. Limited available polling and fundraising patterns underscore Tenney's structural advantages in this district. Trader consensus on prediction markets assigns the Republican nominee an 87.5% implied probability, consistent with the district's voting history and incumbency effects, though the November general election remains the decisive event.
