Current National Weather Service and model guidance for New York City point to overnight lows in the low-to-mid 60s°F on September 7, driven by building high pressure, northerly flow advecting cooler air, and clear to partly cloudy skies that favor radiational cooling after sunset. With average historical lows near 64°F, traders are weighing small forecast adjustments in dew points, wind speeds, and cloud cover that could shift the minimum by a degree or two across Central Park or JFK observations. The tight clustering of market-implied odds around 62–65°F bins reflects this narrow expected range and limited upside for warmer outcomes given the synoptic setup, while lower bins capture residual model uncertainty ahead of final verification.
