Midway through the 2026 MLB season, multiple clubs remain tightly bunched in the race for the most home runs, with the New York Yankees holding a narrow lead around 124 while the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox sit just behind at 119. Strong offensive depth from power bats, favorable ballpark factors, and consistent lineup production have kept several contenders within striking distance. Recent hot streaks by key hitters and minimal major injuries have sustained momentum for teams like the Phillies and Nationals, while the remaining schedule and potential roster adjustments introduce further variability that traders appear to price as a wide-open outcome.
