Recent polls ahead of the September 20 Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke, CDU, and AfD clustered within a few points in the low-to-mid 20s or high teens, with Grüne and SPD further back. This narrow spread among the leading parties, combined with district-level variation and the five-percent threshold filtering smaller lists, sustains uncertainty over exact finishing order. The CDU’s recent leadership change to Stefan Evers and Die Linke’s gains since the 2023 repeat election have kept the contest fluid, while AfD support remains concentrated in eastern districts. Traders price the second-place outcome tightly because small shifts in turnout or late voter movement among these three contenders could alter the ranking before election night.
