Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Denver on September 22 indicate a high in the mid-to-upper 70s under partly cloudy skies with a modest chance of afternoon convection, aligning with the market's heaviest weighting on 78–79°F. A recent cool-down from mid-September warmth and variable steering flow introduce spread across the 76–83°F range, as thunderstorm timing can either cap or briefly elevate surface temperatures. Key uncertainties include model differences in cloud cover, moisture advection, and boundary-layer mixing, with traders monitoring updated runs from NOAA and local observations for shifts ahead of the daily maximum. Historical September variability in the Front Range further supports the observed dispersion in implied probabilities.
