Recent National Weather Service forecasts for New York City on September 24 indicate daytime highs of 66–68°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies and persistent northeasterly winds of 10–20 mph, establishing the primary driver behind elevated market-implied odds on the 57°F-or-below and 66–67°F outcomes. Model consensus points to limited diurnal warming due to onshore flow and cloud cover, though minor variations in boundary-layer moisture or wind speed could shift the maximum by a few degrees. Historical September normals near 75°F highlight the anomalous cool pattern, while traders weigh resolution thresholds tied to official Central Park observations against potential late-day clearing or model revisions ahead of the event.
