Jannik Sinner's straight-sets victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the Monte Carlo Masters 2026 final—his first clay Masters 1000 title—reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking and extended his hard-court dominance with back-to-back Sunshine Double triumphs at Indian Wells and Miami earlier this spring, fueling trader consensus that keeps him close behind Alcaraz at 35% implied probability for the 2026 US Open. Alcaraz's slight edge at 39% stems from his proven hard-court prowess, including the 2022 US Open title and a recent Australian Open 2026 win over Novak Djokovic in the final to complete his career Grand Slam as the youngest man in the Open Era. The duo's head-to-head rivalry, alternating Masters wins, and youth advantage over Djokovic (now at 5.7% amid age-38 form dips) underscore the tight race, with emerging threats like Jiri Lehecka (Miami runner-up) adding depth to the field.
