The tightly bunched implied probabilities around 49% across multiple sides underscore the open race for Scottish Premiership runner-up in the 2026-27 campaign, where Celtic's dominance leaves second place highly contested. Preseason developments have leveled prospects, with Rangers adding goalkeeper Ivor Pandur and other reinforcements to mount a stronger challenge after last season's third-place finish. Hearts, Aberdeen, and Hibernian also feature new managers and squad adjustments, while early fixtures and promoted sides like Falkirk add further uncertainty. This parity among established clubs and ambitious challengers, absent dominant early form, sustains the competitive balance reflected in current trader consensus.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
