Current National Weather Service and private model consensus for Austin on September 10 points to overnight lows in the mid- to upper 70s under continued southerly flow, high pressure, and limited radiational cooling amid elevated dew points near 70°F. This pattern, typical of late-summer Texas heat, has kept recent minimums well above the 1991–2020 average of 69.6°F. Two-day forecast uncertainty centers on subtle differences in cloud cover, boundary-layer mixing, and any weak frontal timing that could allow slightly greater cooling or trap additional heat. Traders appear to price in both the warm baseline and the modest spread across ensemble members, with outcomes clustered around 76–77°F reflecting the most probable range while tails capture potential model divergence before the next update cycle.
