**The municipal elections in Brno on October 9–10, 2026, will determine the 55-member city council that elects the next mayor, creating a fragmented contest among numerous parties and coalitions.** Kamila Zlatušková leads the ODS-TOP 09 ticket as a new independent face after incumbent Markéta Vaňková stepped aside for health reasons, while Václav Trojan heads ANO following internal leadership changes in the Brno organization. Other contenders include Jakub Hruška (KDU-ČSL + STAN), Natálie Vencovská (Zelení-led coalition), Adam Zemek (Piráti + Fakt Brno), Michal Sedláček (Nové Brno), and several smaller lists. With no single bloc holding a clear path to a majority, trader consensus on Polymarket remains closely balanced among the top names because outcomes hinge on post-election coalition negotiations rather than a direct mayoral vote. Recent finalization of candidate lists in August has sharpened focus on local priorities such as housing, transport, and urban development, but limited public polling and the multi-party field keep probabilities compressed. Any late campaign momentum, key endorsements, or shifts in voter turnout could widen gaps ahead of election night.
