The 2026-27 Scottish Premiership runner-up market sits in a dead heat because Celtic are expected to claim the title once more, leaving a wide-open contest for second place among clubs with fresh managerial setups and squad reinforcements. Rangers, under new leadership and with added defensive steel, enter as the clearest challenger yet face competition from Hearts in transition, Aberdeen under Stephen Robinson targeting a higher finish, and Hibernian plus Motherwell pushing for European spots. Pre-season previews highlight uncertainty over consistency across the campaign, with no side establishing clear separation in recent form or transfer activity, keeping implied probabilities clustered as traders price in multiple realistic paths to the runners-up spot.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
