Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Women's Super League opener as clear favorites against Brighton, reflecting their stronger squad depth, recent title contention, and additions like Georgia Stanway following key departures. Brighton secured a notable 2-0 FA Cup quarterfinal win over Arsenal last April and a 1-1 league draw in May, but face immediate disruption after head coach Dario Vidošić's abrupt departure days before the campaign. The Seagulls' home record and attacking contributions from players like Kiko Seike provide upset potential at Broadfield Stadium, though Arsenal's experience and pre-season form position them to control proceedings in this Week 1 fixture.
