Lizette Cabrera holds a significant ranking edge at No. 298 compared to Dasha Plekhanova’s position near No. 781, reflecting greater experience on the ITF circuit and recent appearances in WTA qualifying draws such as the Australian Open. Plekhanova, a 22-year-old Canadian, benefits from home-soil familiarity on the hard courts at the Granby event, where local players often gain early momentum through crowd support and acclimation. Cabrera’s stronger recent win-loss record and higher-level match play establish her as the consensus favorite, though Plekhanova’s solid ITF results in 2025-2026 suggest potential for competitive sets if she maintains aggressive baseline play. Surface conditions and any late fitness updates remain key variables for traders assessing implied probabilities.
