The tightly bunched probabilities around 41% for numerous clubs in the 2026-27 Ligue 1 runner-up market reflect broad parity among the chasing pack behind dominant Paris Saint-Germain. Pre-season developments including extensive managerial turnover at Lens, Lyon, Marseille, Monaco, and others, combined with active transfer windows and squad reinforcements, have left no clear frontrunner for second place. Recent form from the prior campaign, head-to-head records among mid-table sides, and variable European commitments further level the field, with teams like Lens, Lille, and Monaco viewed as having comparable paths to the highest points total outside PSG. This setup sustains market uncertainty through the opening fixtures.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
