In the Wuxi Challenger first-round matchup on outdoor hardcourts, higher-ranked Alex Bolt (No. 138) faces Fajing Sun (No. 197), whose 2-0 head-to-head edge—including a straight-sets final win over Bolt here last year—bolsters trader sentiment toward a competitive bout. Both arrive in form off semifinal runs at last week's nearby Jiujiang Challenger, with Bolt (15-11 YTD, 12-10 hard) falling to Adam Walton and Sun (18-11 YTD, 17-10 hard) to Chak Lam Coleman Wong, highlighting strong momentum on Asian hardcourts. Sun benefits from home-crowd support and familiarity, while Bolt's lefty serve and experience could exploit any fatigue; no injuries reported, keeping resolution tied to best-of-three sets performance.
