Josh Rock enters as the narrow favorite at 59% implied probability due to his elevated PDC Order of Merit ranking (No. 8) and stronger recent results in 2026, including a second European Tour title and consistent deep runs in Premier events. The 25-year-old has shown higher scoring averages and finishing reliability than veteran James Wade, who at 43 relies on experience and a 2026 resurgence that featured a World Matchplay final appearance and a Players Championship win. Their head-to-head favors Wade in select prior meetings, but Rock’s current form, youth, and momentum in the New Zealand Darts Masters outweigh those edges on neutral ground. No confirmed injuries affect either player.
