Füchse Berlin entered the Handball-Bundesliga opener against MT Melsungen with a 50% implied probability reflecting balanced trader views driven by home advantage in the Max-Schmeling-Halle offset by significant squad constraints. Berlin faced a thin Rückraum featuring only Mathias Gidsel, Matthes Langhoff, and Tobias Gröndahl after losing Lasse Andersson and Dejan Milosavljev plus ongoing absences for Nils Lichtlein and Fabian Wiede, compounded by a heavy Supercup defeat to SC Magdeburg. Melsungen countered with an upgraded roster including new signing Daniel Dujshebaev and the return of Johannes Golla, positioning the side as a dark horse with strong depth and motivation for its season debut. Recent head-to-head results and both clubs’ European League pedigree added to the even matchup outlook, with any late injury updates or shifts in defensive execution likely to influence sentiment ahead of resolution.
