The Boston Red Sox established the longest win streak of the 2026 MLB season with a 15-game run from early July through late July, tying a franchise record last matched in 1946 and outpacing all other clubs. That midseason surge, fueled by strong starting pitching and timely offense during a stretch that included sweeps of division rivals, has not been approached since, with the next-longest active streak belonging to the Dodgers at eight games. Late-September schedules featuring playoff implications, travel, and rested opponents make comparable runs unlikely for the remaining contenders. A 16-plus game streak by another club before the regular season concludes would be required to shift the market, though historical patterns show such late surges are rare.
