Stephen Curry's repeated public affirmations that he intends to finish his career with the Golden State Warriors, combined with strong organizational alignment from GM Mike Dunleavy and owner Joe Lacob, underpin the 97.8% trader consensus against him leaving. Entering the final year of his current deal at $62.6 million for 2026-27, the 38-year-old became eligible in late August for a two-year maximum extension worth up to $136.7 million and has emphasized that contract discussions will occur at the right time without distraction from preparation. His long tenure, expressed priority on winning in one uniform, and the absence of credible departure signals reinforce this positioning. Realistic scenarios that could still shift odds include a significant injury recurrence, such as ongoing right-knee management issues from the prior season, or a sharp decline in team competitiveness prompting an unexpected trade request before the 2027 free-agency window.
