Incumbent Rep. French Hill's easy victory in the March 3 Republican primary, defeating challenger Chase McDowell handily, has solidified trader consensus at 87.5% for the Republican Party in the AR-02 House race, reflecting the district's Solidly Republican rating from the Cook Political Report and structural GOP advantages in central Arkansas including Little Rock. Recent FEC filings reported April 16 show Hill raising $558,000 post-primary, vastly outpacing Democratic nominee Chris Jones, the 2022 gubernatorial candidate who underperformed statewide. With no general election polls yet and the November 3 contest seven months away, traders price in Hill's incumbency edge and fundraising dominance, though national midterm dynamics or scandals could shift odds.
