National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 10, 2026, call for sunny to mostly sunny skies with a high near 100°F amid southerly flow and dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, producing heat indices near 104°F. This aligns with recent model consensus showing limited afternoon convective inhibition early but increasing storm chances later, which could modestly cap the maximum if showers develop before peak heating. The market’s emphasis on 98–99°F reflects trader weighting of these official guidance ranges against historical September norms around 91°F and yesterday’s 101°F reading, while lower-probability bins account for uncertainty in exact storm timing and any slight model spread in boundary-layer mixing. Updated NWS briefings and high-resolution runs remain the key near-term catalysts.
