Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus for September 9 points to a high in the low-to-mid 80s across New York City stations, driven by southerly flow advecting warmer air under partly cloudy skies with limited afternoon heating from increasing cloud cover. This positions the 84-85°F and 86-87°F bins as the leading market-implied outcomes, consistent with climatological September highs near 79°F but elevated by current synoptic patterns. Recent forecast updates show minor upward revisions at some sites like Central Park, while wind speeds and humidity levels introduce modest uncertainty in peak readings. Traders will monitor the final NWS observations and any last-model runs before resolution.
