Official National Weather Service forecasts for Manhattan and surrounding stations project a daytime high in the upper 80s on September 10, 2026, under mostly sunny skies with west winds of 10–15 mph and gusts to 20–25 mph. This pattern, driven by a building high-pressure ridge and subsidence, supports maximum temperatures clustering near 86–89 °F at Central Park and LaGuardia, consistent with the market’s heaviest weighting on the 86–89 °F bins. Morning observations already reaching the low 80s and model soundings showing limited cloud cover or moisture reinforce the consensus; only a late-day sea-breeze shift or unexpected convective development would trim the peak below 86 °F. Historical September 10 averages near 78 °F highlight the current anomaly, while the all-time record of 97 °F remains distant given the moderate flow.
