Recent National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model consensus position the highest temperature in New York City on September 11 near 80°F, reflecting post-frontal clearing skies and northwesterly winds that limit afternoon heating after a warmer, more humid period. This aligns with seasonal norms around 78°F while accounting for urban heat island effects and potential sea-breeze moderation near the coast. Trader emphasis on the 80-81°F bin stems from consistent guidance showing partly to mostly sunny conditions with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, though minor model spreads introduce limited support for 82-83°F outcomes. Updated morning observations and final model runs tomorrow will determine the precise maximum before market resolution.
