Latest forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration highlight southeasterly winds and partly cloudy conditions over the Yellow Sea that support daytime highs near 26°C for Qingdao on September 18, yet trader positioning favors 28°C and 29°C outcomes. These align with recent model consensus incorporating above-average sea surface temperatures that enhance local heat retention and reduce cloud cover during peak insolation hours. Historical September baselines average 25–26°C, but short-term variability from steering patterns or reduced marine layer moisture could push readings higher. Market-implied odds reflect aggregated assessment of these variables ahead of final station measurements, with any last-minute model shifts likely to influence the 27°C or 30°C brackets.
