Incumbent Republican Mike Carey holds a strong position in Ohio's 15th congressional district ahead of the November 2026 general election, reflecting the seat's R+5 partisan voting index and his established fundraising and name recognition. Carey secured the Republican nomination in the May primary, while Democrat Don Leonard emerged from a competitive Democratic contest. A July poll showed Carey leading Leonard 45% to 40%, consistent with the district's historical Republican performance and limited Democratic path to victory. Trader consensus pricing the Republican Party at 75.5% aligns with these structural factors, including incumbency advantages and the absence of major recent shifts in polling or campaign dynamics that would alter the competitive balance.
