SpaceX’s completed June 2026 IPO at roughly $1.77 trillion, with shares later trading near a $2 trillion market cap, anchors the 55.4% market-implied probability that it will hold a higher valuation than OpenAI at resolution. OpenAI remains private after its June confidential filing, with CEO Sam Altman labeling a near-term listing “ill-advised” and shifting focus to a potential 2027 debut or an interim private round targeting $1.2–1.5 trillion—well above its prior $852 billion mark. Recent revenue growth from models such as GPT-5.6 and competitive pressure from Anthropic’s own filing add uncertainty, but SpaceX’s realized public valuation and Starlink/AI infrastructure momentum currently outweigh OpenAI’s aspirational targets for most traders. Key near-term catalysts include OpenAI’s next funding close and any 2027 IPO timing signals.
