The Department of Justice's January 30, 2026, release of over 3.5 million pages of Epstein investigative files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act has shaped trader expectations. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche publicly stated that DOJ review found no evidence supporting new prosecutions, inviting public scrutiny of the materials. Subsequent analyses of the documents, including draft memoranda and older records, have not produced indictments or confirmed leads against additional individuals. With no charges filed in the seven months since the disclosures and no scheduled actions tied to the files, market pricing reflects the absence of prosecutorial follow-through. Resolution hinges on whether any future indictments emerge from these or related materials.
