In the ATP Barcelona Open's Round of 32 on clay, trader consensus favors Nuno Borges over Adrian Mannarino, reflecting Mannarino's dismal 2-23 record on clay against top-100 opponents since 2020, including 18 straight losses above ATP 250 level often in straight sets. Borges, ranked No. 50, holds a prior head-to-head edge from a hard-court win and showed clay competitiveness last week in Monte Carlo by dominating the second set against No. 15 Andrey Rublev before a 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 defeat. Mannarino (No. 43, age 37) exited Monte Carlo early via a 0-2 loss to Zizou Bergs, underscoring his surface struggles. No reported injuries for either; outdoor conditions in Barcelona could amplify Borges' baseline steadiness versus Mannarino's flat-hitting style.
