Valentin Vacherot rides strong momentum into this Monte Carlo Masters round-of-16 clay-court clash after straight-sets upsets over Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the first round and world No. 5 Lorenzo Musetti—last year's finalist—in the second, affirming his renewed clay prowess at his home tournament where crowd support amplifies his baseline grinding. Hubert Hurkacz, ranked No. 74 amid a tough spell, has scraped through two prior rounds but owns a modest 44-35 lifetime clay record and just 1-3 at Monte Carlo, hampered by the slow conditions that blunt his big-serving, aggressive style. With no head-to-head history, traders weigh Vacherot's surface edge and form against Hurkacz's higher career ceiling (peak No. 6) and recent resilience, amid favorable outdoor conditions in Monaco.
