Trader consensus on average daily ship transits through the Strait of Hormuz at April's end remains tightly clustered across ranges, reflecting balanced bets on routine Persian Gulf oil flows versus risks from escalating Iran-Israel tensions and Houthi threats to expand disruptions beyond the Red Sea. Recent AIS tracking data from services like TankerTrackers.com shows transits holding steady near 20-30 vessels per day through late April, with no major blockades despite Iranian ship seizures and U.S. naval patrols. The even odds stem from absent game-changing incidents, but separation could arise from confirmed attacks on tankers, Tehran's closure threats materializing, or May AIS reports affirming normalcy amid global energy demand pressures.
