Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a sunny, high-pressure pattern with southerly flow sustaining daytime heating across north Texas, producing forecast highs of 99–101°F for Dallas on September 7. This exceeds the 1991–2020 climatological normal of 92°F and follows several consecutive days of 98–100°F readings. The tight clustering of market-implied odds between the 98–99°F and 100–101°F bins reflects genuine forecast uncertainty around peak insolation, boundary-layer mixing, and any late-day cloud development that could trim or enhance the maximum by 1–2°F. Updated model runs and afternoon observations over the next 48 hours will likely refine the precise temperature threshold used for market resolution.
