Official forecasts for New York City on September 7, 2026, point to overnight lows in the low-to-mid 60s°F, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies, light northwest winds, and radiational cooling under a building high-pressure system. Model consensus from sources like NWS and international ensembles shows highs near 78–80°F followed by minima around 62–64°F, consistent with early September climatology where average lows reach about 64°F. Trader positioning clusters tightly on 62–65°F bins, reflecting narrow uncertainty from potential variations in cloud cover or wind speed that could alter minimum readings by 1–2°F. Lower-probability tails for sub-60°F or above-70°F outcomes align with limited model spread and stable synoptic conditions expected through the resolution window.
