Rising memory chip costs, driven by surging AI infrastructure demand, represent the main factor pushing trader expectations higher for the iPhone 18 Pro. Apple has already lifted Mac and iPad prices amid DRAM and NAND increases nearing 400 percent year-over-year, and analysts from IDC, TrendForce, and TechInsights now project a $150–$200 starting-price increase over the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099, placing the 2026 model between roughly $1,249 and $1,399. Leakers citing Chinese supply-chain sources echo this range while noting the bill of materials has climbed about 25–38 percent. Apple’s September 8 or 9 launch event will confirm the final figures, with any deviation from these forecasts likely hinging on how aggressively the company offsets component inflation through its own modem or design efficiencies.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple’s retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.
If the price differs between configurations (e.g., base storage vs. higher storage), this market will resolve according to the lower price of the version that includes the full standard iPhone 18 Pro model with no additional features, accessories, or services (e.g., base storage capacity only).
If the iPhone 18 Pro is not released by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official Apple Store (online or retail pricing), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
