Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Los Angeles on September 7 shows an overnight low near 70–74°F under partly cloudy skies with light west-southwest winds, well above the 1991–2020 average of 64°F. This marine-influenced pattern, with minimal cloud cover overnight and no strong onshore push, supports the higher end of typical early-September minima. Key variables differentiating outcomes include the strength and timing of any marine layer or weak trough, which could drop readings several degrees if it strengthens, versus continued clear, dry conditions that keep the minimum elevated. Updated model runs and NWS briefings in the next 48 hours will refine the exact threshold, directly informing trader assessments of bins clustered around 70–73°F versus cooler or warmer extremes.
