Arthur Fery enters as the clear trader favorite in this BMW Open qualifying first-round clash on Munich's clay courts, buoyed by his No. 166 ATP ranking and strong recent form, including a qualifying run at the 2026 Australian Open where he upset No. 20 seed Flavio Cobolli before a second-round exit. Max Hans Rehberg, the local German wildcard at No. 729 after plummeting from a career-high No. 230 last March, is rebuilding momentum following a long injury layoff, with his first weeks back yielding mixed Challenger-level results. No head-to-head history exists, but Fery's superior surface versatility and fitness edge trader consensus amid Rehberg's home-crowd boost and clay familiarity.
