Shimabukuro's superior current form and experience edge his higher ranking, but Zhukayev's 6'6" frame delivers a significant serve and reach advantage, neutralizing the gap as seen in their prior Nonthaburi Challenger clashes. Both advanced in straight sets yesterday—Shimabukuro over Ilia Simakin 6-3 6-3, Zhukayev topping wildcard Uisung Park—showing no fatigue or injury concerns. Momentum could shift with serve efficiency, weather delays, or late withdrawals in this stylistic toss-up.
