Marco Trungelliti, newly minted No. 76 after a Marrakech ATP 250 runner-up finish last week, carries strong clay momentum into the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell qualifying final against home favorite Pedro Martinez (No. 119). The 36-year-old Argentine defeated Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in his qual opener, extending a hot streak that includes straight-sets wins over Henrique Rocha and Kamil Majchrzak. Martinez, winless in recent ATP qualifiers including a Monte Carlo second-round exit to Juan Manuel Cerundolo, counters with a 2-0 head-to-head edge—most recently a 6-2, 1-0 retirement win in Girona Challenger clay earlier this year—plus crowd support on Pista Rafa Nadal. No injuries reported; expect a gritty best-of-three on outdoor clay.
