Harry Wendelken's upset of top seed Clément Chidekh 6-4, 6-4 in Thursday's Wuning Challenger quarterfinal has propelled the No. 6 seed (ATP 237) into a closely contested semifinal against Li Tu (ATP 416), reflecting trader consensus at even odds amid both players' straight-sets runs on hard courts. Wendelken, fresh off his Miyazaki Challenger title and a prior 7-6, 6-3 head-to-head win over Tu in 2023 Surbiton, boasts 27-9 season form with strong return pressure (12/28 breaks converted in tournament), while Tu counters with dominant serving (92% first-serve points won, 26 aces) after dispatching Alastair Gray and qualifier Kody Pearson. Momentum from Wendelken's top-seed scalp balances Tu's efficiency (just 6 breaks conceded), with late injury reports or weather potentially tipping the scales in this high-stakes ATP Challenger matchup.
